This policy explains what we collect when you use businessblankets.com or place an order, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you order, we collect what we need to make and deliver the blankets: your name, email address, billing and delivery addresses, payment details (handled by our payment processor, never stored by us), and the details of each blanket, including the company name, the website you entered to find its colors, the colors, and any recipient name, address and message.
When you use the site, we collect the usual technical information: your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and how you reached us, through cookies and similar technologies.
If you sign up for our emails or contact us, we keep your email address and what you wrote.
How we use it
- To make your blankets, deliver them and tell you how your order is going.
- To answer your questions and put things right when needed.
- To send you our emails, if you asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Our store runs on Shopify, which stores your order and account details and processes payments through its payment partners. We share delivery details with the carriers who deliver your parcels, and the details of each blanket with the workshop that knits it. We use analytics and advertising tools from Google and Meta to understand our audience and measure our advertising. [To confirm: the tools actually in use] We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies to run the store (your cart, checkout and sign-in), to measure how the site is used and, where you allow it, for advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser settings and through the choices offered on our site.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them to support you and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. Site analytics are kept in aggregate.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us not to use it for marketing. Depending on where you live, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have further rights, such as the right to know what we collect and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. Children
Our site is for business buyers and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
